Why is Cech undroppable?

Not impressed by him after 4 games.

Too slow in getting down for low and hard shots.
Look ponderous and lost the agility of a goalie at his peak.
The only way that he kept going is his experience and command of the box.

Made two howlers of a pass playing out of the box and decidedly uncomfortable playing the new style. Needed at least 2 or 3 touches before he got the ball under control and passed on.

He is going to be punished soon by managers with an organized and settled team, knowing that Cech will make at least 1 or 2 wrong passes out of the box.

There are only 3 reasons why he can't be dropped.

#1 -
Did Wenger wooed him by promising that he will not be dropped as long as he is not injured? And the reason he was given No. 1 as part of his contract?

#2 -
A power tussle between Mislintat and Emery who may not wish to sign Leno in the first place?

#3 -
Knowing that he must re-shape the Defence and get them to communicate, putting in Leno will make the situation worse.
A Hobson's Choice to stick with Cech till he got DEFENCE and MIDFIELD working together, and then move Leno in gradually or till his command of English is improved?

Fielding Leno now will unsettle the defence more, especially with Sokratis trying to fit in now.
And also, why Lichsteiner was not fielded due to Emery not wanting to unsettle Back-4 with Sokratis now?

Recalled that one of the reason Gabriel was sold because he was unable to come to grip with speaking English … like Reyes before him?

Come November, Emery better gets his acts together in pursuit of Top-4 finish.
Simply that all Top-6 teams and some usually got their acts together and started to climb up the Table and beating lower-ranked teams for fun.

'The more things change, the more they remain the same' Alphonse Karr.

Wenger’s promise to Cech means nothing but as you said it will be too drastic to change two or three players at the defense with Xhaka in the midfield. He’s trying with both Ramsey n Ozil both don’t take part in any form of defense that’s why a shirt puller, shoulder grabber like Xhaka plays. In short Wenger left the squad too mediocre n unbalanced it’s tough to find the right balance, it will take some time.

Xhaka and Cech in particular are used to being automatic starters. From their point of view, it would be unfair on them to change the style of play and drop them immediately without giving them a chance to prove they can play in that way. Also they are both quite influential in the dressing room, so alienating them could have negative impacts on the rest of the squad.

I suspect that's why they will be phased out gradually.

Nobody should be unstoppable. Xhaka, ozil, bellerin, Cech should not be starting games but the manager is doing a Wenger, and persisting when players are clearly off form/not good enough.

Cech has to be dropped. The guy takes way too long to control the ball and pass it out thereby leading to pressure and errors. It's simply not acceptable if we are playing out the back.

Xhaka should not be dropped but rotated. He has played very well and looked good with Torreira on the field. But always average with Guendouzi. I think depending on the game, 2 of the 3 should play there. Torriera and Xhaka agaisnt big teams away.

Bellerin has a lot of upsides so i dont see why the manager should drop him. However Leicesteiner will be a good option in a difficult away game.

We should never start Ozil, Ramsey and Myki in the same game unless Ramsey is a CM and its an easy home game. They just don't work hard enough defensively.

Auba and Laca have got to play, i see this partnership becoming lethal & putting fear in teams.

The manager has a big job on his hand but it's very exciting.

Looks like GS1 highjacked ML96's AT account?
