He should have gone to Spain. His game is suited more to that league than the Premier League. British players really don't like going abroad. It must be the money.

We don't have anybody with 20 goals in the league, so that is a handicap - Arsene Wenger

West Ham was the club he supported as a boy - just up the road, no need to move house ......

He joined us when he was 9 isn't it? When exactly was his "boyhood' West Ham supporting phase then? When he was five?

Its a good move for him to restart his career though. I wish him well.

I wish him well, lots of Arsenal players have spent the twilight of their careers at the Old Foundry Rest Home by the Thames (err the River Lea now)

- until Wenger moves on, they'll always be the also-rans in the major competitions. A club in elite purgatory. Always good enough to make it to the big race, never fast or smart enough to push over the finish line in first place. That's all about the manager. Until he changes, Arsenal fans will continue to celebrate glorious failure.

Wish him absolutely nothing but the best. I hope he goes on to be the England star he was meant to be.
