New signings:
1 - Stephan Lichtsteiner
2 - Bernd Leno
3 - Sokratis Papastathopoulos
4 - Lucas Torreira - is it confirmed?
5 - Socunyu - maybe; doubt we need him?
6 - Ever Banega - do we need him if we cannot promised him a starting slot?
7 - Aleksandr Golovin - most likley Chelski will snap him up.
8 - Steven N'Zonzi - do we nee dhim if Ramsey extended his contract?
9 - Gelson Martins - doubt it as we need to sell Welbeck and Iwobi to accommodate him.
10- Cristian Pavon - doubt it as we got Nelson, Nketiah, Joel Campbell and Perez.
11- Lucas Vazquez - forget him. Marquee teams will out-bid us.
12- Mario Gotze - forget him. He is past hsie xpiry date.
13- Fosberg - forget him. Too expensive and not better than Campbell or Perez.

Contract Extension:
1 - Ainsley Maitland-Niles
2 - Calum Chambers
3 - Aaron Ramsey - will he ever signed on or his agent wanted him to do an "Alexis"?

Players left or to be sold?
1 - Mertesacker
2 - Carzola
3 - Wilshere
4 - Ospina - favorite to leave?
5 - Mustafi - I doubt Emery will sell him with Sokratis and Lichtsteiner as leaders.
6 - Nelson will be sold if he still refuses to sign contract extension.
7 - Welbeck - he needs to move elsewhere to play 1st team football.
8 - Iwobi - he needs to move elsewhere to play 1st team football.
9 - Perez - doe she have a future here?
10- Joel Campbell - will Emery gives him a chance?
11- Monreal - doubt he will be sold a she is one of the leaders.
12 - Bellerin - a key personnel that will not be sold.

How to fit them all in a 25-man squad?
1 - Macey
2 - Maitland-Niles
3 - Chambers
4 - Holding
5 - Bellerin

6 - Ramsey
7 - Iwobi
8 - Welbeck
9 - Nelson - will be sold if he refuses to sign contract extension.
# - Nketiah - most likely to go out on loan

If both Welbeck and Iwobi are sold, we can easily fulfil 8 no. homegrown players by promoting youngsters like Joe Willock, Ben Sheaf, et al into the squad.

1 - Cech
2 - Leno
3 - Ospina

4 - Mustafi
5 - Koscielny
6 - Mustafi
7 - Lichtsteiner
8 - Sokratis
9 - Monreal
10- Kolasinac

11- Xhaka
12- Elneny
13- Torriera

14- Mkhitaryan
15- Ozil
16- Aubameyang
17- Banega or N'Zonzi?

18- Sell Ospina to free up slot for Martins or Fosberg or Pavon or Perez or Campbell?

Looks like we need to sell Ospina to free up 2 slots for new attacking players or midfielders or even to keep Perez and Campbell.

If Emery goes for Baenga (most unlikely with his family prefers to live in Selville and he is not an automatic starter) or N'Zonzi, then 2 out of Opsina, Perez and Campbell will need to leave.

18 year old Pavon and 20 year old Soycuncu are not counted in 17-man foreign player squad.

20 year old Mavrospano is counted in Under-21 squad.

1 - Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang
2 - Alexandre Lacazette
3 - Danny Welbeck
4 - Alex Iwobi
5 - Eddie Nketiah
6 - Chuba Akpom
7 - Lucas Perez
8 - Joel Campbell
9 - Stephy Mavididi

Any team that wanted to challenge for the title will need at least 4 no. marquee forwards and an astute manager that can rotate and keep them all happy … like what Ferguson did but Arsene Wenger never managed.

Unai Emery can't managed Neymar and those Big Egos at PSG.

I have a sneaking feeling that he will keep Auba, Laca, Perez and Campbell and let them fight it out … plus developing all those youngsters like Eddie, Reiss, Chuba and Stephy to keep senior players on their toes.

I doubt Emery has the funds to buy another forward/winger like Martins or Forsberg or Gotze or Pavon but has to wiat for next January and summer transfer window.

What Emery is doing is to fix teh DEFENCE and MIDFIELD before he cna identify the weakness in attack and how they all link up as a team.

This team can score, and more points are garnered by fixing the DEFENCE to concede less than 30 goals is the main target for this season for now.

I don't care about the attack for the moment. I'm happy we're on our way to fix the comical defense of the last decade

Last season Arsenal scored 74...

12 more than Chelsea
Same as Spurs
6 more than Utd

10 less than Liverpool
No comparison with City

Arsenal conceded 51

5 less than West Brom
5 less than Swansea
5 less than Southampton

Stoke and West Ham had the worst defences in the league, they only conceded 13 goals more than us.

Our attack is up there with the best in the league. Our defence is down with the worst in the league. So fix the defence!
