FAO ALL - Articles needed - A must if site is to survive
Padre Pio 21 June, 2018 18:23
Hi all,
To keep site going there should be a feature article every two weeks, at any stage the network will close us down. Already we have been taken off line a couple of times.
Ive been doing this for fourteen years and need a hand. If we cant get articles closing will be very soon.
Email articles to 'arsenaltimes@blueyonder.co'.uk

C'mon Matty, Millenials like you lots should start to takeover this website.

Old foggies like me is retired and a few steps away from the blue yonder.

"The idea is to be more unpredictable every year and be more difficult for the opponents to stop and nullify what we want to do. That’s what we have now, especially at the back and in the midfield the options we have, to open up the spaces, we have many more options than we had last year.” Mikel Arteta

During the long years in the wildernesses, it was difficult to write anything about Arsenal without sounding angry like a broken record.

Now we have a breath of fresh air, I promise to get back to my writing days. The many things Wenger killed for me.

I love to write.
Regrettably, what I wanted to write for AT is entirely out of tune with the expectations of Millennials over here.
Hence I stopped writing for AT.

If it means keeping the board going I'm sure we can put up with your writing. (Sm22)

He is right here and his son has responded with a very good article

Some of the posts here are long enough to be an "article". Just need to tweak it to appear like an article rather than a response to some other posts. Some of the writing are quite good and well articulated.

Right now, I think the problem is that whatever that needs to be written about has already been written about 200 times over. Yes, mainly about one Monsieur Wenger. And it is post-season so no games to wrote about except the WC games which is not about Arsenal.

@PP...can u not recycle some of Merlion's old articles that have all that complex statistics and math about all aspects of Arsenal? The good folks who own this site will not know any better.

Nay, maple.

While I thoroughly enjoyed Merl's contribution in tracking our pursuit of the 120-goal season and the periodic updates of our relative achievements within the top 6 or top half of the table, I was hoping that he could devise a similar metric or target for defensive achievement as well ... and then track our progress in that respect as well.

If the situation is very serious, which I suspect it is, then there probably needs to be some sort of system.

As a starting point I'd suggest anyone who wants to contribute should stick their name down. Even if there's only five or six willing participants, that's grand for a one-article-a-fortnight quota.

Then perhaps start a sticky'd thread which stays at the top of the main page, and in that thread you can deduce who's writing what and when, and bounce article ideas off one another if someone is struggling for content.

Maybe I'm being naive but this doesn't seem like it absolutely has to be a problem.

Its a good idea, but its important new articles are posted to Arsenal Times and not put up on borad first. Lets give it a try
