I wish him well, he was a true Arsenal man, sadly his inability to avoid tackles cost him

- until Wenger moves on, they'll always be the also-rans in the major competitions. A club in elite purgatory. Always good enough to make it to the big race, never fast or smart enough to push over the finish line in first place. That's all about the manager. Until he changes, Arsenal fans will continue to celebrate glorious failure.

He needs a fresh start at another club.
More power to him ... I will always be a fan.

Not a fan of this decision at all.

We apparently have no money to spend (laughable) and we're letting players like Wilshire leave on a free. After his first decent return in games as well in 7 years.

Makes no sense to let him go.

Albert Einstein once said: "Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."

Agree with this but the issue is club has no bargaining power in this case, he can make much more elsewhere as he's free n paying him over the top doesn't make any sense. So good luck.

This is a ridiculous decision. What manager would not see a player like him and think "I can get you back to your best" instead he's basically told him, "you can stay but you won't be playing for me."

The manager hasn't even seen him train for god's sake, why make that decision? On what basis? We could have said he would get time, signed him up and of it didn't work sold him for at least some money. Instead he leaves for free with a point to prove.

Idiotic to say the least.

I think that would be treacherous kinda Wenger style keeping player who will be very unhappy like what Wenger did with Walcott n many others then even if he earns 100k a week that’s 5m a year, how much can you get back selling a squad player n why would he take that shi.t? Emery was honest to him n he made his choice. It’s good move for him.

I wish him well. but he is taking a place of one of the youth team players. We need to develop internally and we know we can not buy like others, so they have to prove themselves or they move on.

The manager was honest and he decided to move on, so be it and cheer him on at his new team.

Thanx for memories Jack. Your goal against Norwich is one of the best goals I've ever seen. I wish him the best of luck on whichever decision he makes in his career.

I'm going to go against the grain here and say I recKon that's it's the right and best decision for our club, that Jack is leaving.

In the comments above you've all expressed dissatisfaction at the decision, but statistically, financially, and competitively, this is definitely the right decision,IMO.

I'm mostly sad that he couldn't fulfil the potential of someone with his level of talent.

But given that he can't stay fit, I think this is the right decision. In truth we should have seen the writing on the wall when he couldn't get in the Bournemouth team consistently.

I've wanted arsenal to be more ruthless with players who are consistently injured, so this is another welcome change for me.

One of his conditions was to be guaranteed a regular start. That is not being realistic when he still has to prove himself to the new coach. The best option was for his career was to go. Hope he stays injury free and I wish him the best of luck. He was a true gunner.

For all that Wilshere can do great, he does a lot of things poor and he's not physical enough.

When the only thing you're contributing to a team is passion the writing is on the wall.

He's a sub and if he wants to stay at Arsenal he'll remain one.

Good luck at West Ham or Bournemouth

He's leaving for financial reasons, Arsenal have offered him a contract so their position is 'we want you to stay'. Jack doesn't like the offer so he'll go and sign for the calibre of club karsene has mentioned above.

I loved Jacks heart, but we need to clean house a bit. I trust Emery, and hopefully more will leave.

Kos will never play again in an Arsenal shirt unless it is an old-timers charity match.

He already had a long history of debilitating Achilles tendonitis in both legs.

This is not a normal recovery in an otherwise healthy athlete. His pre-existing condition will make it much more difficult for him to complete the difficult rehab from his rupture. Hate to say it, but the integrity of his other Achilles should also be in doubt. He is unlikely to ever fully recover and return as a player in the League.

Despite the rosy forecasts of a December return, common sense would be to leave him off the squad this season.

a new back 4, with Leno, should bring us back to the top 4, if not at least compete for even better.
Emery's press, with the offence we have should bring life to this dead Wenger team that we've had to watch.
