Fergie vs Wenger

Anyone watch it on Channel 5 last night?

Really good, lots of interviews with ex-United and Arsenal players, plus Graham Poll and a number of journalists, including Amy Lawrence. Keown, Dixon and Petit were very good, and Phil Neville actually admitted they had the referees on their side!

I know its already universally well-known, but it really made me sad seeing how tough and competitive we were, how much winning used to mean to us and how much character we had. The change in our side was so extreme.

Petit summed it up, moving to the Emirates was pretty much the end of it all.

Yes I watched it, not bad. Would like to have seen more footage of when we tormented them and not just Giggs goal. That great Henry goal v Barthes for instance. But sadly also reminded us how far we had fallen behind

- until Wenger moves on, they'll always be the also-rans in the major competitions. A club in elite purgatory. Always good enough to make it to the big race, never fast or smart enough to push over the finish line in first place. That's all about the manager. Until he changes, Arsenal fans will continue to celebrate glorious failure.

Both teams have to be honest. Last 5 years united have been @#$%& as well. City went chelsea have leap frogged and Liverpool play far more exciting stuff than united

Petit once told Wenger he needs to change sport.
