We are out of Top-4 contention with our dreadful away form.
Arsenal is out of the title race in October 2017.

Table A – “Traditional Top-7 Big Club” Mini-League:
….. W … D … L ….. F ….. A … +/- __ Points

Arsenal results against Top-6 teams are inferior and why we are not Top-4 contender.

Man City is the only unbeaten team against Bottom-13 teams.
Table B indicated that winning a Top-4 spots depends very much on the ability of teams to remain unbeaten and to collect maximum points against Bottom-13 teams.

Table C – Comparison to Title Winners and 2007/08 season:
Season … Finish …. W …. D …. L ….. F ….. A … +/- … Points
2007/08 ….. 3rd …. 24 … 11 ….. 3 … 74 … 31 … 43 … 83 points – Arsenal

2016/17 ….. 5th ….. 23 ….. 6 ….. 9 … 77 … 44 … 33 … 75 points – Arsenal

We can only collect 24 points by winning remaining 8 games to achieve 72 points, not enough for Top-4 finish.
Apparently, we are worse than previous seasons and cannot maintain our average 7 losses for the past 7 seasons.

2015/16 Leicester City proved that an inferior team can still be a title-winner by being unbeaten against Bottom-12 teams, and loses only 3 games against Top-8 teams.

Liverpool is 12 points ahead of Arsenal and needed only to win 4 out of remaining 8 games to seal Top-4 spot.
………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
During this 4th Quarter, Man City needs only to win 5 games to win the title.

… 10 ….. 2 … 4 … 27 … 14 … 13 … … 32 … Chelski
….. 9 ….. 2 … 5 … 26 … 21 ….. 5 … … 29 … Everton

Anfield and Etihad are fortress with both teams remain unbeaten at home.
But Liverpool drew too many games.
Man City will win the title on 8 April 2018 if they beat ManU at home.

Away Form – “Traditional Top-7 Big Club”:
….. W … D … L ….. F ….. A … +/- __ Points
… 13 ….. 2 … 1 … 37 … 10 … 27 … … 41 … Abu Dhabi City
… 10 ….. 3 … 3 … 31 … 17 … 14 … … 33 … Tiny Totts

….. 1 ….. 5 … 9 … 10 … 31 …-21 … ….. 8 … Everton

We are out of Top-4 contention with our dreadful away form.
Arsenal is out of the title race in October 2017.

Table A – “Traditional Top-7 Big Club” Mini-League:
….. W … D … L ….. F ….. A … +/- __ Points
….. 7 ….. 1 … 1 … 23 ….. 9 … 14 … … 22 … Abu Dhabi City
….. 6 ….. 1 … 3 … 15 ….. 8 ….. 7 … … 19 … Manchester United
….. 6 ….. 1 … 4 … 21 … 13 ….. 8 … … 19 … Tiny Totts
….. 3 ….. 4 … 4 … 10 … 11 …. -1 … … 13 … Chelski
….. 3 ….. 3 … 5 … 19 … 22 …. -3 … … 12 … Arsenal
….. 2 ….. 5 … 3 … 17 … 21 …. -4 … … 11 … Liverpool
….. 0 ….. 3 … 8 ….. 6 … 30 …-24 … ….. 3 … Everton

Arsenal results against Top-6 teams are inferior and why we are not Top-4 contender.

Table B – Comparison of the Top-7 team against Bottom-13 teams:
….. W … D … L ….. F ….. A … +/- __ Points
… 19 ….. 2 … 0 … 64 … 12 … 52 … … 59 … Abu Dhabi City
… 17 ….. 4 … 1 … 58 … 14 … 44 … … 55 … Liverpool
… 15 ….. 4 … 2 … 41 … 11 … 30 … … 49 … Manchester United
… 13 ….. 6 … 1 … 41 … 13 … 28 … … 45 … Tiny Totts
… 14 ….. 1 … 5 … 43 … 19 … 24 … … 43 … Chelski
… 12 ….. 3 … 5 … 49 … 19 … 30 … … 39 … Arsenal
… 10 ….. 4 … 6 … 31 … 24 ….. 7 … … 34 … Everton

2015/16 ….. 1st ….. 23 … 12 ….. 3 … 68 … 36 … 32 … 81 points – Leicester City
2016/17 ….. 1st ….. 30 ….. 3 ….. 5 … 85 … 33 … 52 … 93 points – Chelski
2017/18 ….. 1st ….. 27 ….. 3 ….. 1 … 88 … 21 … 67 … 84 points – Abu Dhabi City
2017/18 ….. 6th ….. 15 ….. 6 … 10 … 58 … 41 … 17 … 51 points – Arsenal after Round #31
2016/17 ….. 5th ….. 23 ….. 6 ….. 9 … 77 … 44 … 33 … 75 points – Arsenal

We can only collect 24 points by winning remaining 7 games to achieve 72 points, not enough for Top-4 finish.

2017/18 League Table – Race for Top-4: Round #32
….. W … D ….. L ….. F ….. A … +/- __ Points
… 27 ….. 3 ….. 1 … 88 … 21 … 67 … … 84 … Abu Dhabi City
… 21 ….. 5 ….. 5 … 60 … 23 … 37 … … 68 … Manchester United
… 19 ….. 9 ….. 4 … 75 … 35 … 40 … … 66 … Liverpool
… 19 ….. 7 ….. 5 … 62 … 26 … 36 … … 64 … Tiny Totts
… 17 ….. 5 ….. 9 … 53 … 30 … 23 … … 56 … Chelski
… 15 ….. 6 … 10 … 58 … 41 … 17 … … 51 … Arsenal
… 12 … 10 ….. 9 … 29 … 27 ….. 2 … … 46 … Burnley
… 11 … 10 … 10 … 47 … 43 ….. 4 … … 43 … Leicester City
… 10 ….. 7 … 14 … 36 … 52 …-16 … … 37 … Everton

Man City is 16 points ahead of ManU and needed only to beat ManU next week to win title.
………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
Arsenal is in decline since a poor 2nd and followed by a worse 3rd Quarter results during the wintry months.

I was quite impressed by the fact that we have increased our dubious goal tally by ten times.

- until Wenger moves on, they'll always be the also-rans in the major competitions. A club in elite purgatory. Always good enough to make it to the big race, never fast or smart enough to push over the finish line in first place. That's all about the manager. Until he changes, Arsenal fans will continue to celebrate glorious failure.

I pride myself it is a tradition at AT ... like Arsene Wenger at Arsenal FC.

But all good things come to an end eventually ... like Arsene Wenger had grown stale.

Heh ... Yes, Merl, I still read and appreciate the updates.

But, I have quit asking for updates directly.

If you do decide to discontinue, I won't miss them, but I do hope that you will resume the analysis if and when we FINALLY get rid of this fraudulent manager and get a fresh start.
