I truely am envious of you locals. How is the weather in London? Did it have any effect on the turnout? The ratings seem spot on. Thanks.

It was a lot warmer, and there were no travel problems.Im glad we stuffed Deeney

- until Wenger moves on, they'll always be the also-rans in the major competitions. A club in elite purgatory. Always good enough to make it to the big race, never fast or smart enough to push over the finish line in first place. That's all about the manager. Until he changes, Arsenal fans will continue to celebrate glorious failure.

Certainly not more than 40000

What was your feeling Padre on people staying away? Do you think it is the Wenger effect?
If that's true, this is true the end for him. Under no circumstance would fans be prepared to accept another season of him if they are not going now.
And Arsenal would never accept a half empty stadium for the start of a new season.

I did a straw poll of a few friends, one actually went to see his mother and miss the match, several others had visted their mothers on the Saturday, several like me are orphans.
The atmosphere was mostly quiet, the biggest cheer was for Cech pen saved, far louder than for any of the three goals.

So I dont think mother's day really explains it
