Match Tactics?

We always suffer when teams press us high. Not having time on the ball hurts our game. Teams that close down on us have always caused us big problems. Mhiki was far better on the right side, and Ozil in the center, with both having freedom to move. On the defensive side we give the attackers too much space, and if there is any press it's usually one on one. We made too many panic passes in transition. It was worrying when we were out first at halftime and had to wait in the rain for them to come out. Time better spent making adjustments. And yes, the subs added nothing.

I’d repeat it’s the midfield it’s the midfield it’s the midfield that let the team down. Dembele, Davis n Dyer had a field day on the midfield. The only reasonable solution it seems play 4-4-2 with two strikers upfront n 4 men MF.

Ozil auba wilshere mkhi xhaka all stopped playing (running) after the 30 min for some reason.

We just kept getting worse and worse from then on.

Elneny didn't pull any trees but he won the ball a couple times.

All the others added nothing to either side of the game. Passengers in possession and without it

Horrible watching Spurs basically dominate and out play us from start to finish. Can't give credit to any of our players today, they were all a combination of bad, ineffective and anonymous.

We are awful on the ball at the back especialy. Our cb's cant pass. Kościelny was fast, physically good and dumb. Now he's just dumb. Needs to be sold in the summer if someone is blind enough to pay something for his service or moved to be 4th choice. Bellerin must have inherited worst genes in his barca dna. He can't even outsprint anyone anymore. Mustafi isnt better then them. Slow, weak and just not good enough. Long balls accuracy is non existent. Cech doesn't help with his kicking but his main job is to keep us in the game as long as he can which he did.

Again it takes ages to control the ball from this lot and xhaka-elneny pairing. Cm is not mobile, agile or strong. Passes at the back are too weak not accurate and seem to be made just for the sake of it. There is no vision whatsoever either with passes or when reciving the ball. Only Jack can set up himself when he is reciving the ball others look like they need to control it first and then they start to look for team mates or for spaces to run. It's basic abilities. They dont feel the rythm and read the game very well. Either not inteligent enough or/and not believieng in their own abilities enough. Off the ball movement is apalling. You could go on and on with that stuff.

Wenger Out.

The problem is not the players but Wenger. The sooner he leaves the better. With that said Xhaka really needs to go. The team plays with 10 men when he is on the field. That is how bad he is.

So to sum it up 90% of our players are useless on the ball. Yep that's pretty much it more than anything else. They just aren't good. And the manager is the same as well

90% of defensive players in our squad are useless on the ball. Not 90% of all. Personaly i think Holding is the best passer from our cb's. Monreal overall and that says it all. We all know our forwards are quite good on the ball especialy right now after we sold Wally, Olly and the Chilean guy (although last one had a great eye for a final ball sometimes). The thing is we build from the back. Everytime we're being pressed there is no player to muscle of an opponent, bring in some kind of calmness, string few quick, direct passes to tire them and show that it wont be that easy. Instead we got panic, inaccurate passes that only raise chaos and often make us lose posession. No understanding, like if they dont train together.

Other thing is when we hear Wenger's indecisiveness when it comes to signing players. I dont know whether he gives instructions to our scouts what he thinks we need and then is given some kind of shortlist of players or how it really looks like behind the scenes but i think he often knows that many of those identified players in our price range are not good enough to compete. Since we are run like a business and despite some propaganda we need to make profit first. Wenger being stubborn and believing his alleged hype (or doing what he believes is right) sticks with these flops like xhaka elneny etc trying to transform them into world class players instead of selling those peck.ers for half what was paid to sign them and just move forward. Try something new.

So all in all it's Wengers team right? He is supposed to fit them into his tactics and try to make them not expose their deficencies so much and that's not working.

We miss Cazorla hugely, he's one of the best Arsensl players of all time.

I wish he was 23 and healthy.

Grayfox, even most of our forwards seem to take bad first touches under pressure.

Maybe you cab count on ozil, mkhi and maybe wilshere.

Others take good touches when not under pressure, but need 2/3 steps before they get their first touch of the weight on their pass right in the final third.

If you watch some of the other teams, they are a lot more efficient there as well
