Arsenal are set to sign a deal to take part in the 2018 International Champions Cup according to reports in Singapore.

The Gunners are one of three European sides in contention to travel to the south east Asian city-state to take part in the tournament.

Last year, Chelsea represented the Premier League in the pres-season friendly cup staged at the Singapore National Stadium. The Blues lost both of their games as they came up against Bayern Munich and Inter.

Dates for the 2018 edition of the competition are still to be confirmed but Arsenal are said to be in advanced talks with Catalyst Media Group and Relevant Sport, the organisers of the International Champions Cup in Singapore, according to local outlet TODAYOnline.

A total of 105,000 fans attended the matches between Chelsea, Bayern and Inter in 2017 and after a busy January transfer window the Gunners are set to be one of the main draws this summer with supporters keen to see the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan with their own eyes.

From my experience of living in the city state in the past there are massive premier league fans there. One of the major place in Asia where premier league TV rights $$ come from so it's obviously a good way to payback.
