Match against Crystal Palace - will we slide down the table faster than X'mas dressings?

That was the common sayings against West ham United when they had a scintillating 1st half before X'mas and then struggled all the way in 2nd half and either relegated or just squeaked out of Bottom-3.

Quite a good analogy but for fighting to regain Top-4.
Arsenal is always there, inconsistent and consistently frustrated Arsenal fans ... so near but yet so far.

A good sign is that we managed to score against Liverpool, held an attacking Chelski to a 0-0 draw and managed to contained a rampaging Man City to 3-1 loss rather than a humiliating 4-0 or 5-2 or 8-2 demolishment.

But we need to start winning away from Emirates ... and why not start against Palace?

Forget that Chilean t*wat who is blatantly refusing to play for Arsenal, just put in a minimal effort to stop accusation of disloyalty. Every fans at Emirates knew that he is not trying.

Time to re-shape the team for 2018 without him.
he can rot on the bench, a supersub in last 10 minutes of play, and plays in cup competitions for all I can.
Refuse to sell him even for 30-mil and just let him rot in the Reserves.

Remember WC2018?
He will lost his lustre in summer 2018 with all marquee clubs rushing to sign stars of the future uncovered in WC2018, with him just yesterday news.
Every team will hesitate to sign this 30-year-old pillock who refused to put in a decent effort to help his employer.

With the absence of Giroud, I will field Welbeck as that 6' 2" battering ram to wreck havoc inside the box, fighting always for the first ball and giving more opportunities for his team-mates to win the 2nd ball in the box.

A fired-up Welbeck who will quickly closed down opponents when the ball is lost is better than a Alexis standing still and refusing to run.

...................................Cech

........... Koscielny ..... Mustafi ..... Kolasinac

...Bellerin ........Xhaka.............Wilshere........Maitland-Niles

.................Walcott.......................Ozil
................................Welbeck

I like Walcott attitude, committed and a willingness to track-back, and providing pace at right flank to drag defenders out of shape.

With Xhaka's accurate long passes, it will be a joy to watch Walcott running between defenders and cutting into the box (provided he is not off-side @#$%@).
Pace of Bellerin-Walcott and Kolasinac-Maitland-Niles will help to contian the threat of a pacy Zaha changing flanks ... and effectively nullify Palace wing-plays.

We can win, but we must attack and needed committed players like Walcott and Welbeck to help out in tracking back to pressure Palace high-up in their own half as the first line of defence.

We need a mercurial Wilshere at his best as another creative playmaker and has the dynamism of Ramsey to run from deep as another goal-threat.

We need Xhaka to put his shooting boots on and shoot accurate from range, i.e. on target with a quick-reacting Walcott and Welbeck to run-in to snap up all those rebounds.
