17-year-old Reiss Nelson - as successful as 17-year-old Fabregas or another English Flop?

How Arsene Wenger handles Nelson’s development will be intriguing. Does he hold him back and keep him with the U23s, or does he fast-track him, perhaps sooner than expected to the first-team given Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's departure to Liverpool?

With the Capital One Cup fast approaching - and also the Europa League group stages - the youngster will surely be heavily involved. But right now he looks ready to be given a chance in the Premier League.

From the glimpse I saw him during pre-season matches, he seemed calm on the ball, lots of skills and bags of dribbling tricks. His crosses are way better than Walcott or OX from the bye-line.

He looks more likely as a replacement for Walcott and OX at right-side winger.

It is a massive gamble that Wenger is taken with his current Youth Project and expect Reiss Nelson, Maitland-Niles, Joe Willock and Bielik to take massive step in their development such that by December 2017, they will be seasoned senior players and ready for Premiership Football.

Their mettle will certainly be tested in Europa Cup and League Cup matches in Arsenal B Team.

If Arsene Wenger said we can win the title, then he will need two teams to battle on four fronts with reserves and Youths featured in Europa Cup and League Cups to rest senior players during mid-week matches.

With 2 group stages in Europa Cup, 12 games, there are plenty of cup games for everybody.

Then, we will know by December 2017 whether in Reiss Nelson we have a winner like the impact of a 17-year-old Fabregas or another English Flop under Arsene Wenger in a long line from Jeffers to Wilshere, Walcott and OX.

Statistically speaking, he's more likely to be a dud, based upon the last 10 years or so.

Or probability speaking, time for Arsene Wenger to get 1 right every 10 years like:
#1 - 1997 Anelka
#2 - 2005 Fabregas
#3 - 2017 Reiss Nelson?

For his sake he better moves to another club, or prays that Wenger leaves soon.

Wenger hasnt produced a single great youth player in many years.
