Whatever we think about the Sanchez situation, a footballer who only returned one week ago, will not be ready for first team football for several weeks

- until Wenger moves on, they'll always be the also-rans in the major competitions. A club in elite purgatory. Always good enough to make it to the big race, never fast or smart enough to push over the finish line in first place. That's all about the manager. Until he changes, Arsenal fans will continue to celebrate glorious failure.

Wenger will not want yo disrupt the team formation he had in mind for August till Alexis is fit ... say after 31 August and during our first Europa match in September?

Wenger said that Alexis will also miss the Stoke game.

Quote:
"Sanchez will not be available," Wenger said. "He had a little abdominal strain that he caught in training on Sunday morning before he came to Wembley.
"He had a scan two days ago and he's out for a while. I don't know [how long he will be out] - two weeks, one more week. He will not be available.

"He will not play at Stoke."

Sounds like a fake injury while they sort out his future.

What are the chances he's sold in the last week of the transfer window and we panic buy 3 or 4 players who no one has heard of but who we persist with for 4 years despite them being rubbish and then who have 1 decent season before leaving with 1 year left on their contract?

Sanchez is going and that's why he won't play and I bet he won't be replaced.

It is like that phantom Fabregas injury he always suffered when he was pushing for an exit. Good luck to Sanchez wherever he ends up. Any player with ambition to win real titles should not be content with wasting his best years playing for someone as incompetent as Wenger.

We don't have anybody with 20 goals in the league, so that is a handicap - Arsene Wenger

Absolute nonsense, Sanchez is about as injured as John Terry is a faithful husband.

We wont replace Sanchez when he leaves either because Lacazette was already bought for that purpose.

All this "He's not leaving" garbage Wenger is spewing is just to drive the price up as much as possible.

Wenger is a proven pathological liar when it comes to this sort of thing.

This, and I'm surprised so few people online are making this point.
