Thomas Lemar

Am I only person who doesn't rate him? I've seen play loads of times and I don't know what the fuss is over him.

He's not quick , strong or that skillful, his best attributes are his delivery into the box, which would suit Giroud.

Unless we're going to play him as a left wing back I don't us to sign him.

Nay.
We have XHaka, Ramsey and Wilshere and Elneny.
Plus Maitland-Niles and Jon Toral returning.
Waste of space and money to buy Lemar.

No that is exactly how I feel about him. He is still very young and can improve his game a lot. Not under Wenger though.

We don't have anybody with 20 goals in the league, so that is a handicap - Arsene Wenger

Arsene Wenger will build his mark XVIII team with another French revolution of Thomas Lemar, Alexandre lacazette. Bingo!

Great, left-sided creative player, but why not go for a midfield powerhouse like Bakayoko, also from Monaco, who's about to sign for Chelsea?

Reports that we've had bids for Lacazette and Lemar rejected.

Signing 2nd rate players French players is not going to improve us, get Dembele and Mbappe, not players who'll make us stand still or get worse.

I know Monaco was an exciting team and i loved watching them play , but i think some of their players like lemar are becoming overrated because of who they had around . Paying huge fees for Lemar will soon give us buyers remorse, at a cheaper price yes but if too much we should walk away.

Have to agree with most here on Lemar. For a 21 year old, he is very calm on the ball and has good heads up play but he is too easily dispossessed when on the ball. He is not a dribbler nor speed demon but he has a sweet left foot with his crossing and passing. We already have Ozil for that. So Lemar would not drastically improve Arsenal. While I am not the biggest fan of Lacazette, at least Lacazette is an impact player with his goals and directness at goal.

GS I don't know why we used to disagree about football,

This is how I feel EXACTLY

if it's. It wingback then what's the point

People are acting like he can replace Alexis on the left. Or that he is better than Mahrez

People are stupid

You are just assuming he's not as good because he's dark skinned. Lemar is actually a very good footballer.

I felt Lemar would've been a luxury anyway, but if Liverpool sign him after Wenger said any deal was dead... that is another huge blow for us. How bad do things have to get before Wenger does the right thing and walks?

Unlikely Monaco will let him go after losing M'Bappe.

Yes but you have to wonder what they have to gain by keeping him, a 2% chance of winning Ligue 1 instead of the 1% chance they have without him? The only reason they might keep them is for Champions League qualification, but even then, £55 million is double what you get for reaching the group stages so a sale makes sense. If we wanted him, we could get him, but we won't.

They will if the asking price is met. Every player has a price but Wenger seems to have his own little transfer market and decides what fees and wages are over priced and what isn't ... excluding his own ridiculous unwarranted wages of course.
