Arsene Wenger staying till 2019/20 season?

tan Kroenke’s $2.6 billion stadium project in Los Angeles has been hit by delays.
The huge development in Inglewood, which will eventually host the Kroenke’s LA Rams NFL franchise - as well as the LA Chargers - was due to open in 2019.

But Kroenke and the stadium developers have been forced into admitting the project may not be completed until a year later - until the start of the 2020 NFL season.

The delay has been attributed to the record levels of rainfall that fell during a key ‘excavation phase’ of the construction.

The year long delay in the project is set to cost Kroenke’s LA Rams franchise millions of pounds in lost revenue.
“Certainly there will be a revenue hit and added expenses,” admitted Kevin Demoff, the Rams’ CEO.
“But this is not a decision about economics. This is a decision about quality and fan experience.”

Good and bad news.

Good news is that it may force Silent Stan to sell his Arsenal sales to finance this Inglewood project which going to bust his budget.

Bad news is that he needed Arsene Wenger to stay on to stabilize Arsenal FC till he completed his Inglewood Project.

Doubt Silent Stan has enough spare cash to pump into Arsenal for that mythical summer spending spree.

Let's hope Liverpool beat Boros to hit Silent Stan hard in the pocket.
Plus growing Arsenal fans' protest inside Emirates will also hit his advertising and sponsorship revenues and also affect the broadcasting revenues.

I have absolutely no doubt Wenger is staying they just don't dare announce it. It was most likely decided months ago.

I'd love for Stan to sell but let's face it, he has a massive portfolio and it's his breeding ground for his NFL franchise in terms for Business training so he isn't going to let it go.

I doubt very much he will leave after his 2-year extension.
Whether we like him or not, I still believe we are on a cusp of a new successful era with current squad and Wenger realizing that he needed to cull ruthlessly his underperforming squad with plenty of bottlers and he will spend to bring in at least 5 new players.

We wil be successful next season, with or without Arsene Wenger.

Arsene Wenger appears to be ready to give the green light to a shake-up at the club, as he prepares to accept a diluted role to remain as Arsenal manager for the next two years.
Arsenal chiefs have been eager to enforce a shake-up of Wenger’s back room staff, as well as the appointment of an influential figure who will assist in the recruitment of players and overseen contract negotiations.

Wenger was initially hostile to any attempt to break the stranglehold he has had over the club in recent years, but the 67-year-old has softened his approach in recent days and now looks ready to find a middle ground in a bid to break the tension that has built up with chief-executive Ivan Gazidis and chairman Chips Keswick.
The thousands of empty seats in evidence at Emirates Stadium for last Tuesday’s game against Sunderland was vivid evidence of the disillusionment among Arsenal supporters towards the manager, with club chiefs hoping the changes they are implementing will placate fans who are not happy with Wenger’s continued stay.
Wenger has confirmed that a final decision on his future at Arsenal will not be made before next weekend’s FA Cup final against Chelsea, but he appeared to be relaxed about the planned changes in the club structure when he spoke to the media on Friday.
“I am always open to things that improve the quality and the future of the club,” stated Wenger. “Of course we sometimes need help to become better. I am always open to open that.”

Wenger is now expected to sign a new two-year contract to remain as Arsenal manager and it seems he has won a power battle with Gazidis to ensure he continues to have full control over transfers and matters relating to the first team squad.
Arsenal are keen to move towards a position that they hope will ensure the transition towards Wenger’s successor is made easier by altering the club’s structure to ensure their manager does not have such potent influence in all areas of the club.
It remains to be seen how Arsenal supporters who are keen to see Wenger replaced as manager will react to this news, with their mood on this issue likely to be affected by the result of the FA Cup final next Saturday.

No matter what happens in the next weeks , wenger needs to go.
There is no valid reason to extend his contract.
