We need at least 20,000 fans to stay away ...

Supporters stayed away from kick-off in their droves, with in excess of 10,000 empty seats as the Gunners got underway against David Moyes' already-relegated Black Cats.

What better way to send a message to those American carpetbaggers than Arsenal fans stay away en masse on 21-May?

What better way to send a message to Arsene Wenger that he had out-stay his welcome than leaving during 21st minute in honor of Arsene Wenger 21-year regime at Arsenal FC?

If that does not send a message to Arsene Wenger that he had out-stay his welcome and more of this kind of treatment next season, will his ego allow him to sign-on?

Remember his past comments on why he will leave?
#1 - when he no longer able to bring the team to the next level:
#2 - when he no longer has the support of the dressing room;
#3 - when Arsenal fans turned against him.

Bundesliga expert Olly Knaack has backed Borussia Dortmund boss Thomas Tuchel to join Arsenal.
The Gunners have reportedly agreed to sign Schalke full-back Sead Kolasinac and Knaack says he won't be Arsenal's only Bundelsiga signing.
“I’m not an Arsenal insider but there’s one coach who has been rumoured as coming to Arsenal and that’s Thomas Tuchel who is having major problems at Borussia Dortmund,” he told talkSPORT.
“He could be a perfect coach for Arsenal and Arsene Wenger would still be there in the background doing the signings and with the players.
“In my opinion it will be a perfect mix and I do believe that Thomas Tuchel won’t be coaching Borussia Dortmund next season.”

A compromise would be kicking Arsene Wenger upstair as Sporting Director and sign Tuchel as coach before he eventually take over in 2018/19.
To Kroenke Family, this will maintain continuity during the transitory period of life without Wenger.

I would say the number of fans missing tonight was closer to 30,000.
The burger counters were half empty

- until Wenger moves on, they'll always be the also-rans in the major competitions. A club in elite purgatory. Always good enough to make it to the big race, never fast or smart enough to push over the finish line in first place. That's all about the manager. Until he changes, Arsenal fans will continue to celebrate glorious failure.

A half empty stadium really send a message to those American carpetbaggers.

Now, on 21-May, let's aim for 40,000 missing fans ... or better still, at 21st minute, all walk out in droves and start singing WENGER OUT outside the stadium concourse.

When asked about it post-match, Wenger blamed the fact that it was a Tuesday night fixture against a relegated Sunderland.
“No, it’s Tuesday night against Sunderland. Everybody expects us to win and I didn’t count the number of people who were in the seats,” he said.
“We have to focus on our job and not look at how many people are in the stands. When you’re a football player, you ideally want to be playing in a packed stadium, but we are quite spoiled with that at Arsenal.

“Overall, it’s a Tuesday night and people may think Sunderland is an easy game and that’s why there were less people.”

While the argument that it was ‘just’ a midweek match against a relegated team is valid to a degree, the amount of empty seats this time around did seem like more of a statement than apathy.

Then time for AST to prove Wenger is wrong on 21-May.

To those American carpetbaggers, Arsene Wenger is still iconic and their best marketing tools to woo advertisers and sponsors to the Arsenal brand-name.

Arsene Wenger is associated with Arsenal brand-name with a higher profile and higher value than any of the current Arsenal players.

Meaning ... get him out of Emirates and send him overseas travelling as Arsenal Sporting Director, glad-handing all over the world to promote Arsenal brand-name and setting up academies and franchises, attending events to promote Arsenal and woo sponsors.

Yous said we need at least 20,000 to stay away, so 25,000 stay away so you move goal posts

Actually my target is to see a half-empty stadium.

Let's start in some step.
10,000+ at Sunderland game.
20,000+ at Everton game.

Alternatively, 60,000 turn-up at 3pm kick-off time, cheer the team and then walk off at 21st minute in celebration of Arsene Wenger's 21-year regime.

And if Arsene Wenger stays on, how many do you think will turn up for 1st game of the season?
My guess it is full-house ... all forgiven and it's alright jack.
