18 year old Eddie ... 18 year old Anelka ... 17 year old Fabregas

During the early days, we had 18 year old Anelka breaking into senior team and taking over from Ian Wright.

Then, a 17 year old Fabregas broke through in 2004/05 and then took over from Vieira in 2005/06.

Now, we have a 18 year old Eddie Nketiah.
Will he takes over from an awful Danny Welbeck next season?

A 19 year old Reiss Nelson can take over from another awful Iwobi in 2018/19 season?

A 20 year old Maitland-Niles to take over from Elneny in 2018/19 season?

The major problem is that after Anelka and Fabregas, Arsene Wenger has yet to unearth a gem of a world-class youngsters that he can develop into a regular senior Arsenal player.

He failed with Walcott, OX, Chambers, Bellerin, Ramsey and Wilshere.
They are not "world-class" in comparison to Anelka and Fabregas.

Rob Holding is still an open verdict.

"The idea is to be more unpredictable every year and be more difficult for the opponents to stop and nullify what we want to do. That’s what we have now, especially at the back and in the midfield the options we have, to open up the spaces, we have many more options than we had last year.” Mikel Arteta

I'd give them a chance. Honestly, how much worse than Welbeck and Elneny can they be. I mean we had Sang up front for a time. There's no excuse.

Other clubs have young players. Maybe compare them to those players occasionally?

The only English and European lads I can compare to are:

ManU - Lingard, Rashford, Martial
ManC - Sterling, Stone, Sane
Spuds - Dele Alli, Davis
Liverpool - ???
Everton - ???
Burnley - Nick Pope
WHU - the famed Academy had developed f**k all and gone the cheap bargains from Eastern Europe and Africa.

You got any budding world-class youngsters in premiership teams, Tom14?

Arsenal - can't see any budding world-class youngsters in their rank - all overhyped like Iwobi, Ramsey, Wilshere, Nelson, Maitland-Niles and Holding.
But Wenger will make millions for Silent Stan when he sells those youngsters for millions in the summer.

What Arsene Wenger did is to run a lucrative footballer production line, buying cheap and selling off youngsters for millions. That is why Silent Stan loves Arsene Wenger so much, a rain-maker, making millions for him in footballer transfer fees.

Dont get me wrong but those youngsters are quite old already. "If you are good enough..." Thats not the case with them. Wenger wont make them any better than Iwobi is right now. They can only make some odd cameos right now and are not trusted to step in. That wasn't the case with Anelka or Fabregas right? I wish i am wrong but i can only see AMN making some kind of a breakthrough and that is if Wenger sells Xhaka and Elneny.

Those are the luxury players to have right now. Not Ozils and such. We are no more in a position where we can wait for players to develop and become stars. As if it ever worked out for us.

The problem is that you can only start 11 with 14 of them unhappy.

Then there is UEFA Homegrown rule:
"Homegrown Player Rule in UEFA competitions was introduced in 2006–07 season, with fully in force in 2008–09 season. On top of a maximum 25 players for the List A, clubs had to designate a minimum 8 players that were trained by clubs from the same national league, with 4 of them are from the club own youth system."

And the English League:
"All 20 Clubs must include eight Home Grown players out of a squad of 25 for that Premier League season.
A Home Grown player will be defined as one who, irrespective of his nationality or age, has been registered with any club affiliated to the Football Association or the Football Association of Wales for a period, continuous or not, of three entire seasons or 36 months prior to his 21st birthday (or the end of the season during which he turns 21)."

Our homegrown players:
1 - Wilshere
2 - Ramsey
3 - Welbeck
4 - Iwobi
5 - Chambers
6 - Holding
7 - Macey
8 - Maitland-Niles

9 - Bellerin
10-
11-
12-

13- Cech
14- Ospina
15- Koscielny
16- Mustafi
17- Monreal
18- Kolasinac
19- Ozil
20- Elneny
21- Xhaka
22- Mkhitaryan
23- Lacazette
24- Aubameyang
25-

We are in a tough position to fulfil UEFA requirements of "8+4" homegrown players if we do not promote youngsters like Nelson, Eddie and Willock.

And if both Wilshere and Ramsey and Chambers or Holding should left this summer ...

Arsene Wenger will have no choice but need to buy some expensive homegrown players to comply with both UEFA and EPL Rule if those overhyped youngsters can't cut the mustard.

And why the scouting network needed to bring in foreign lads when they are not more than 18 years old to comply with the "21 year old before end of the season".
