Wenger hit with UEFA ban.

UEFA has banned Arsene Wenger for three matches for improper conduct in relation to comments he made about the match referee after Arsenal's Champions League game against AC Milan on 6th March.

As well as being suspended from carrying out his managerial duties for the team's next three European games, Wenger has been hit with a fine of €40,000 (£33,000).

It is the third time the Frenchman has been given a touchline ban in the space of a year and, barring an appeal, will be a blow for the club when they return to continental competition.

Arsenal are currently on course to qualify for next season's Champions League after moving into third place in the Premier League on the back of a seven-match winning run.

UEFA had previously handed Wenger a one-match touchline ban for an on-field rant at Massimo Busacca following his team's last-16 exit to Barcelona last year.

The Arsenal boss was left fuming at the Swiss referee's decision to send off Robin van Persie.

Wenger was then handed a further two-match touchline suspension for violating his Barcelona ban by communicating with the Arsenal bench from the stands during the Gunners' play-off tie against Udineseearlier this term.

His latest UEFA charge came after he criticised Slovenian official Damir Skomina for his performance in the second leg of this season's last-16 tie against Milan.

The Gunners won the match at Emirates Stadium 3-0 but were knocked out 4-3 on aggregate and Wenger felt Skomina had awarded too many decisions to the Italian visitors.

He said at the time: "I was not happy with the referee tonight because I felt he gave many free-kicks in the middle of the park.

"Every time they went down a free-kick was given for them, and they sensed that very quickly and they used it very well."

It was true. In my next life I am coming back as the wrath of God and I will smite and bring ruin to corrupt officials whether governmental, corporate or any other.

Referee's are being paid off, it's blindingly obvious and even in some instances proved and yet nothing is done because the officials which are supposed to regulate these issues are involved as the beneficiaries of them.

I am half hoping that this Nibiru myth is a fact because we have lost any right to exist as a species, we are a failure as a collective and no longer serve any purpose other than to destroy everything which makes life worth living......bring the fire !

Good for wenger!
(Sm128)

I have NO PROBLEM with him saying what he said.
When he sees something that stinks, he should and he will always tell the world about it.

If I was Wenger I would pay £80K and tell them that they, the ref and all the officials are cocks.

Arsenal is a top 16 European club that will remain a top 16 European club and the Emirates is tape-loop that will win trophy after trophy

Nothing will change to stop Arsenal's domination except the ticket prices which must go up so that Wenger can make even more marquee signings.

Kroenke, Gazidis & Wenger are made for each other a glorious triumvirate heading for immortality.

Arsenal’s not a football club it is the one true religion Milton Palmer

We need to take a lesson from Barca and have the actual Club moan and b.itch and the referees, pitch, etc.

You can't exactly ban the club. I mean you can, but they won't.

Unbelievable, uefa are muppets of the highest order. They give out small fines for racism. Wenger should fight this all the way.

*Signing Ozil is a signing Bergkamp type moment for Arsenal. It changes things utterly.*
