Jack Jack Jack. Spurs are actually quite good now. We won't be catching them.

I acually want us to miss the CL.....we need to change the just about mentality and if it takes us missing out on cl and suffer few more years, then I take it.
Spurs have done their suffering and worked their way up, you gotta admire them. Right now they are more ambitious and serious football club than us and Im not in denial like some arsenal fans to say this

We are never going to catch spurs, the power balance has shifted and I completely agree with hippo. Spurs are now the more ambitious club they have a better balance of players than we do especially in midfield, a board who want to win things not just fall across the line and the willingness to bankroll their ambition and a manager who has the strength of character to stand up to his bigger players and hold them to their contracts.

not forgetting padre and radioturkey who agreed 100% with billy

No problem having an opinion (especially when they're wrong) - only one of those posts of the three I take issue with is gooney.

Why you'd want us to miss the CL I have no idea.

I should be worshipped by some of our little sisters around here, is that too much to ask?

Yes it is De Times. Because although you very well may been proven right about the way this season would go (could still change though) you have also spouted a lot of utter utter b*llocks. Gervinho as good as Messi anyone?

And stop consistently feminising people you have disagreed with when you refer to them. Its the sort of thing people did in the 1950s.

I'll hold my hands up. It aint done yet though.

If we finish 3rd and finish ahead of Spurs it will feel like a trophy. I'm sure we've all had to endure a lot of sh.it this year.

If we do finish 3rd or 4th I hope the club don't feel vindicated with their minimum spend policy.

Let's see where we are in May shall we? This club has had a knack of collapsing under the weight of expectation too many times in recent seasons.

Some people said we'd win the league this year. And it could still happen.

RVP will take care of that!

i hope the club uses last couple of months as a springboard for the coming months and we strengthen our squad to be able to fight for the real trophy next season

And I dearly hope the f.ckin Board dont forget to raise the ticket prices in lieu of the transfer propaganda they are perhaps encouraging.

Gervinho as good as Messi anyone?
Just wait and see Celine, Gervinho will soon prove his worth. He had a very busy season last season, and was thrown quickly into a struggling arsenal team to carry all the playing burden, and has just got back from an extremely busy cup of nations tournament. He's human, not a machine.
When gervinho gets his vigour and swagger back, then you're appreciate how effective he could be in a game.
He did well lastnite btw.

Let's just hope Gervinho is better than Walcott.

Gervinho will be one of our better players next season. He knows where the goal is if last season is anything to go by. We need his directness.

Hes no messi though. Were you high de times?

Re: FAO Flava, gooney and billythekid
De Times 22 March, 2012 09:22
Lol, 80s. Messi is something else especially with the number of goals he score. But gervinho, the way he brings two to three players to himself while creating openings for his team mates, while running directly at goal, he's almost as effective as messi without the goals when he's on top of his game.
I still remember that codevoir vs argentina match where gervinho looked far more threatening than Messi, that was the first time i saw him and penciled his name somewhere on the back of my mind.

Man even without the goals messi is on another level. I see what you mean though. Still, messi ACTUALLY scores when he wants.

gervinho is player im not sold on but ive said his fast pace dribbling is some of the best ive seen he looks like hes not trying and the ball is glued to his feet
deffo 1 of the players i would instruct kids to watch he looks so natural,

All I wish for is we are the best we can be ,if we are not Ill moan but still be shouting the team on.Im like a bea with a sore head when we lose or draw when we should win but to quote Morrisey there is a light that never goes out and that is Arsenal.
Ive gone all poetic there.
