vs brum

----------almunia----------

sagna---song--silvestre---clichy

----------denilson----------

------fabregas---diaby------

walcott---------------arshavin

-----------bendtner----------

Get fabregas off as soon as possible, Bendtner as well

vs barca

----------almunia----------

sagna-campbell-vermaelen-clichy

------------song------------

------fabregas--denilson------

nasri-------------------diaby

-----------bendtner----------

I realise this is controversial and highly unlikely but i think it might be a good idea. Don't need Diaby's physical presence as much in the middle as i think fabregas, song and denilson match up well with iniesta, xavi and busquets. he did well on the left against west ham and it could be useful having him helping out against messi and then bursting forward quickly into the space left by alves attacking.

It obviously reduces our goal threat somewhat but could always bring Arshavin on to terrorise them when they're a bit tired in the second half

Could otherwise possibly see Song keeping his place in defence alongside Vermaelen

I think that we've really got no choice other than to double Sol Campbell up. Birmingham is obviously a must win game for us and we really can't afford to have Song and Silvestre as our CB partnership. Sol is just gonna have to battle through both games in my opinion and then he can rest v Wolves at home.

Id rest Arshavin for the Birmingham game as I thought he looked very tired and maybe still carrying a niggle in the West Ham game. We are going to need him firing on all cylinders for Barca and I think we've got enough creative strength to beat Birmingham without him.

For the Barca game id play eboue and switch him over to the left flank to help Clichy deal with Messi as Arshavin is very unlikely to bust a gut to track back

Brum
Almunia

Sagna Song Silvestre Clichy

Denilson

Cesc Diaby

Walcott Bendtner Nasri

Barca
Almunia

Sagna Sol Verms Clichy

Song

Cesc Rosicky

Eboue Bendtner Arshavin

No way can we let Sol play on (even more) tired legs against the likes of Messi and Thierry.

I'd play Eboue up front against Barca as he offers more defensive cover for BS.
I'd also play 2 AM's against Barca, just to test their (hopefully shaky) defending. bring Diaby on for TR if we need someone running at them , but I reckon passing it round (and round) them will do us a world of good (plus maybe they'll lose some confidence before the 2nd leg).

Anything near huggs and Philly's will be good.

William is only a 20% chance at the moment, but in another 7 days who knows

Arsenal are going to win a BIG trophy this season.
