Not a very bright article from the Sultan of Spin. The main reason why TV figures are down is due to Theresa May's refusal to directly debate the leaders of the other parties. The Monday broadcast was an interview with the two main leaders separately.

Secondly the strategy of the Tories has been based on the cult of the personality, ie Theresa May the strong leader, the fact she has no personality has undermined that idea as a crowd pleaser.

Thirdly people were expecting a debate on Brexit, but she has spent most of her time avoiding that issue apart from robotically repeating she is a strong and stable leader, whilst wobbling all over the place.

There are other indicators, the millions of under 25's that have registered to vote in the last few days up to the registration deadline, massive social media interest, and the very large crowds that have followed Corbyn around.
It suits Campbell to run the whole thing down as he wants to prove it was all so much better in his day.

Of course it is disappointing that TV figures were low, but the reason for that has more to do with Tory politicians thinking they creep quietly to a landslide victory by saying as little as possible apart from rubbishing your opponent in personal terms than any apathy of the electorate.

This is a long read.

If you see any errors below. Please correct them.

The E.U. Parliament.

E.U. Members of Parliament.

MEP. Member of The European Parliament.

Like Every Other Parliament in the free world.

Are Elected.

The Member of the European Parliament for Paris. Is elected by everyone eligible to vote in Paris.

The Member of the European Parliament for Preston is elected by everyone eligible to vote in Preston

The Member of the European Parliament for Parma (Parma Ham = Win) is elected by everyone eligible to vote in Parma.

Next time you ever feel like thinking The European Parliament is a shadowy un elected un accountable entity remember this.

Representatives to the house of the European Parliament are elected.

The question you need to ask yourselves is.

Where do you get the ideas bouncing around in your heads that The E.U. is undemocratic and un elected.
Who do you hear saying this.
Where do they get their information.

Could anyone provide an example.

1 example.

1 E.U. Law.

Which does not make sense.

There are E.U. Guidelines and There are E.U. Laws.

Before you present your example. Please verify what you perceive as a Ruling is not actually a Recommendation.

I've never encountered, seen or heard an E.U. ruling which does not benefit people.

The number 1 cause of problems for Farmers in the United Kingdom is the Environment/Fisheries Agency.

It used to be the Agriculture Ministry was: The Agriculture Ministry and nothing else.
Fisheries was its own Department.
Environmental Affairs Etc was its own Agency.

Then they were all thrown together under 1 Minister 1 Department. No prizes for guessing.. Since this happened for U.K. Farmers it’s been problems problems problems.

1 Mega problem was Liz Truss. The conservative MP . Who was The Education Secretary ‘educated’ at Oxford who is illiterate. She could not spell the word literate. U.K. People actually voted for her to represent them in parliament and run the Education Ministry successfully (it didn't happen). She was hastily moved on to the Environment Agency. Where... she lost hundreds of thousands of farmers records + millions of tax dollars masterminding a Pebcak computer hardware + software update disaster.

The E.U. pays U.K. farmers grants and subsidies.

For over a year thousands of farmers went without their E.U. contributions. The E.U. was paying, and it was paying, and it was paying in to The U.K. Liz Truss's Environment Agency Ministry was ... ... ... and if you know what the Tories were doing with the money you know more than anyone in Britain.

Put it in a search engine: Farmers. Food Banks.

You will see a lot of hard working people hurting.

The E.U. fined the British Environment Ministry for NOT Paying E.U. Money to British farmers. Before that happened however. Theresa May moved Liz Truss on to The Justice Ministry (which includes Prisons) where it’s been disaster city.

Tory Privilege on Acid. How else can you have someone who is illiterate + blatantly unfit to hold public office crashing around from ministry to ministry

She decided (and this is not a joke)

- to cut the ranks of experienced prison officers (without cutting the prison inmate population) (you can probably guess what happened next)

- to freeze pay

- to start work on automating /computerising prisons

- to fill the prison officer ranks with 18 to 20 year olds (on starter salaries)

- to roll out an uncosted and untested education inspired prison league system

the idea for this was to have the raw recruits (kids who’d just left school), auto-bots + last standing Officers working beautifully together, learning on the job, teaching, inspiring, filing paperwork on palmtops and doing some other stuff (prison stuff).

For months and months there were stories in the news of Prison Officers being concerned. Wardens being concerned. A record high of overcrowding, staff shortages, suicides, homicides, self harm incidents, assaults, prisoners escaping (prison breaks pretty much every week) and a 40% rise in assaults on prison officers from 2015 to 2017.

And then Prison officers and Wardens opened jail cells and walked out of prisons.

The press reported it all.

This year. Every Month it’s been The High Court Judges publicly writing to the Press to say. The Justice Secretary said this. That is not true. The Justice Secretary is not representing the position of the High Court Judges to The Prime Minister, to Parliament, to the People.
Privately Judges (run a search) are saying The Justice Minister "is out of her depth"

Now that’s just 1 Tory.

Education. Environment. (Agriculture) Justice.

These are Big Departments in Government to Get Wrong.

If you have a vote. Take some time out to take a real hard look at the people you put in government.

The U.K. is being run into the ground.

And it's not the E.U. doing it.

It's not the E.U.

Which is working against Thomas of Cwmgiedd The Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales.

Some One has to say something about the craziness going on in the Tory Cabinet.

The $53 Billion ‘deal’ for an untested military update which failed hard in florida.

Jeremy Hunt

Amber Rudd for her position as Director of Two off-shore tax evasion companies. As home secretary and as undersecretary she’s worked with Theresa May to strip tax breaks and support services from vulnerable people.

Theresa May(’s Husband) Tax Avoidance (run it through a search engine)

Theresa May as Home Secretary had a real problem with The E.U. blocking every attempt she made to break human rights regulations.

Do people not want to have Human Rights.

(E.U. Membership means if your rights are threatened in one area you can appeal to the European Court who can then examine the court details and say:

- Okay. This unfavourable ruling you have received. We have double checked it as you requested. The correct procedure has been followed by the courts in your country. You are going to jail.

Or

- It looks like you've been really screwed over (did not receive a fair hearing) You should have a fair trial.

What problem does anyone have with this?

Some fishermen have a problem with being told. If you fill your nets. And if you fill your nets and if you fill your nets every day of the week.
There is not going to be much fish left for you to take to market next year or the year after that.
It's not just commercial fishing which depletes stocks. Natural changes to climate affect levels of kelp and other flora which fish feed on, species migration, variations in concentrations of predator species. It is helpful to have a co-ordinated approach to fishing quotas with other countries.

If you run a commercial fishing operation and you've just spent over half a million Euros or more on refitting a boat to go after a specific fish. And Marine Conservation Experts, working together from all countries which depend on this fish species Agree that there should be a quota. Yes. You will be very angry.

But you really should have a backup plan.

It's not the E.U. which decided there should be a tax on hot food (food sold hot or warm) in The U.K. Or that there should be a bedroom tax. And at the same time corporation tax should be lowered to less than half of what it is in France. That there should be

Quantitative easing + increased government borrowing

While income tax goes up, corporation tax goes down and the minimum wage stays the same.

Because this is impossible to balance they’ve gone through 2 chancellors in the last 2 years.
Every time they try to release a budget to show to the people. They can’t do it. (They can’t balance it) And have to go back and fix it.
The Deputy Governor of The Bank of England was forced to resign this year after it was revealed for 4 years as she was regulating the market first as Chief Operating Officer and then as The Deputy Governor of the Central Bank. Her brother was working unspecified hours in an unspecified job role as an executive at Barclay’s Bank Markets/Retail/ Research division.

Back to the E.U.

The U.K. Pays money to be in the European Union Free Trade Area.

The U.K. Govt pays the price of admission for Employers and Corporations to sell their goods and services to 27 countries without being hit by 27 sets of Import Tax. Import Duty & Import Fees.

The Companies make their money. They make it big.

They pay their Employees Frozen wages, Minimum wages, Zero Wages (Zero Hour Contracts).

For HMRC this = Zero return on investment in PAYE contributions paid into the treasury to pay into the E.U.

All expenses accounted for: The Companies run profits through tax avoidance schemes managed by British companies based in foreign countries.
Shareholders who get paid after tax has been applied complain.
Corporations ask the U.K. Govt to lower corporation tax even more.
Senior Executives Bonus Tax Avoidance Schemes are even more complex
[www.dailymail.co.uk]

People complain Their taxes are being used to keep the U.K. in The E.U.

‘Your taxes are being used to prop up the EU’

‘The foreigners in Europe are taking all your Paye contributions.’
‘The foreigners who are in England are getting rich off your hard work. They’re taking your money and not reinvesting it in the U.K.
‘The foreigners from Europe are coming into The U.K. and taking your jobs. (Who’s giving them your jobs?) The foreigners from Europe are coming into The U.K. and taking your free healthcare paid for by your tax contributions and taking your tax credits and going back to Europe leaving you in short supply.

Except It’s not the foreigners who cut U.K. corporation tax to the lowest in Europe. (Less than half what it is in France )
And it isn’t the foreigners who are married to people in Westminster running 1.4 Trillion Pound Business which route all their profit from investments in The U.K. out of the country, paying 0% tax while enjoying 24 hour police protection, free flights + luxury hotel accommodation, free food and expenses + a salary paid for by you.

Every time people challenge The Tories:

‘We need to raise corporation tax’

They say: No if we do this Companies will leave Britain. They’ll move their Head Offices to; >insert name of country which taxes Companies 50% to 200% more than what Companies are taxed in The U.K.<

How do people not see through this B.S.

If you benefit from Tory Tax Shelters, Tax Havens and Tax Avoidance Schemes Fair Enough.

If you are considering a vote for the conservatives because: Their leader says 'strong and stable' in a loud clear voice.

Does the sound match what you see.

Meanwhile there's the real threat from May's party to the welfare of the disabled, some of whom have died because of welfare cuts. Lack of funding to the NHS, cuts to the police, a real threat, not existential and the usual attacks on the poor. Yes let's have more of that, shall we?

Fortunately not as the Tories look like a good deal of the public have come to their senses and given those nasty Tories a wake up call.

Hear hear hippo, Tories failed to notice that people are not apathetic about elections.
A mass turnout of young voters, inspired by Corbyn's anti austerity campaign stopped May's plans for world domination. One more push and we will be rid of them.

By the way Sandy Crick said that Corbyn spoke to more people at mass rallies since Churchill, it was never a dull election

- until Wenger moves on, they'll always be the also-rans in the major competitions. A club in elite purgatory. Always good enough to make it to the big race, never fast or smart enough to push over the finish line in first place. That's all about the manager. The free stuff and lack of personal responsibility effect.

When Conservatives talk about personal responsibility, what they really mean is greed. They aren't cutting the top rate of tax to encourage people to work 80 hours a week on the minimum wage with a zero hours contract, they're doing it in their own self interest.

If you're a high earner then I can understand supporting the Tories out of self interest. Otherwise it's just naïve to think they really believe they have pure intentions and are nobly doing the right thing for the country no matter what bs arguments they use to spin it. They're more interested in they're own shares on the stock market than the number of people who can't earn enough to eat.

It's a myth that regressive tax policy leads to lower income people being more motivated to work harder. Hence why there are thousands more people using food banks after 7 years of austerity. You think they want to be there? If they had had some help before they got to that point, they probably wouldn't have ended up falling so far. They sell these stories like a British version of the American dream as a way to give ordinary people hope and keep them under control, because they know full well that wealth leads to wealth, that privilege leads to privilege, and you aren't going to rise to the top simply by working harder.

The current level of austerity is a choice. One that widens the gap between the top and the bottom. And increasingly unequal societies lead to more and more polarization and disillusionment, which is unsustainable in the long run.
