So what’s the answer? Ban horseracing completely, scrap the Grand National or something in between. Over 800 horses have died on racecourses during the last 5 years. An unknown number in training, Of course those horses would never have been born in the first place if there was no racing. Those exact horses would not be born in any other circumstance, but how is that an argument for anything?
Thinking that its an acceptable loss for horses to die in the name of entertainment is barbaric and demeans us as a society.
