A baffled chip shop owner has been forced to move his 'Oh My Cod' fish sign from his shop front after he was bombarded with complaints from Christians.

Del Athwal put the sign up at his takeaway to promote a cut price meal deal offering fish and chips for just £2.99.

But he was forced to move it after angry Christians claimed the pun was tasteless - especially over the Easter period - and complained to the council.

The banner has now been permanently moved to the side of the parade of shops in St Michael's, Tenterden, Kent, in a compromise agreed to quell protests.

Haha, hilarious.

Reminds me of how FOX News ran headline stories about, "The War on Christmas!" because people were calling them holiday trees and what not.

I think there are more important things to protest, but that's just me.

Foolish mortals.

Reminds me of Harry Ramadans chip shop that was sued by Harry Ramsden for pinching their name. The bloke was an Asian who really was called Harry Ramadam

- until Wenger moves on, they'll always be the also-rans in the major competitions. A club in elite purgatory. Always good enough to make it to the big race, never fast or smart enough to push over the finish line in first place. That's all about the manager. Until he changes, Arsenal fans will continue to celebrate glorious failure.

Ironic that the early, and secretive, symbol for Christianity was in fact `the fish`
