Geraghty's ride on Yanworth Discuss

Here is my take

Yanworth beaten, finished 2nd and from the off I couldn't understand why Geraghty raced him so wide. He must have gone at least 50 yards further as a result than the winner and was only beaten a length or so on the line. Sorry but that was jockey error! And yes I backed Yanworth. Switched over after the race to listen to the Budget so don't know what was said on Channel 4 racing about it. Did the muppets mention it at all?

Steve Ayres, Yanworths lad said that the pace of the race wasn't quick enough for Yanworth.

Gary Priestly said !!!Interesting to see how much further Yanworth ran than Yorkhill I'd suggest darn site further than he got beat. Better jockey won not horse!!!

I'm no jockey but it seemed to me all the way round that Garrity was in the wrong position, and so it proved. Most definitely Yanworth was beaten by it's jockey riding a p!ss poor race. The muppets did point out that he'd gone a long way round but were fairly polite about it, given that he'd given it a shocker of a ride.

What I don't get about the race is that Geraghty, got the horse there all by himself; he started wide and kept it there, this was an 11 runner hurdle race over 2m 5F; not a 2 miler with 26 runners; would love to hear his interview and take on "how the race panned out"; there must be millions of punters cursing him today.
