Crashed at the last hurdle at Ascot today when having just pulled three lengths clear of the others and only needing to jump it to win, you must be absolutely gutted Dande, horse seemed to get up OK, sincerely hope all is well with him fella.

Cheers lads, drowning sorrows in the hotel. Gutted. Running to a mark of 140+. Cheltenham still on, but hard to take today. Horse is fine.

Horse is sound this morning. Jockey described him as a dope... probably fair.

This is what Alan King said in this morning's Weekender.

"The best performance came at Ascot, but seeing WBY fall again at the last was tough as he looked as if he was going to win very impressively. His jumping was smashing up to that point as he had not made a mistake and then he guessed at it. It looked as if he was on a good, long stride but he just changied his mind and ended up not doing anything. Fortunately he is OK so we will keep schooling him and he deserves to take his chance in the Supreme. It was not an ideal prep, but he looks pretty useful.

Dande, Wilde Blue Yonder in the Supreme Novices on Tuesday is a 25/1 shot with Betfred tonight for 3 places and 20/1 with Paddypower for 4 places; looks a tough ask, but surely he wouldn't be 25/1 if he had cleared the last on the last two races would he? Given a clear round he must be some sort of each way value would you say?(Sm13)

Hey CW - don't want to jinx him. I'm hopeful, but it's obviously a tough race to win. Just hope we get to the race safe and sound, and he runs his race and comes home safe, and we'll finish where we finish.

Currently surviving on around 5 hours sleep per night at the moment - very nervous.

Best of luck with your bets, and hope we're both celebrating on Tuesday.

Cheers lads - yeah, 5th in this race was unbelievable.

Newton - Dan's a great lad - he's the syndicate member I hang around with most, and he's been over to Ireland a couple of times to watch racing.

Handicap rating of 145 - the joint 52nd highest horse over hurdles in Britain (3,726 horses have a hurdles rating) - exciting times. Chance he'll run at Aintree.

Wish you well with your new one Dande, as it is a store horse you will have to let us know when it is ready to run, could be a while yet?
