Yeah.

if i need any, theres no point swapping to collect more doubles.

Not got that many from the 60's though(Sm147).

And ive found E-Bay a rip of to buy from (postage seems to be worth twice the Programme)

bbc2 whats a 1966 burnley v tottenham program worth thx

17 Sept 1966, Andly Lochead scored 2 in a 2-2 Draw, three days before we played Stuttgart.

It wasnt spurs double season, and unless Spurs gave a debut to a superstar, or it was the last game for one of the former stars so
theres no real significance to the game as far as i know, i have the programme and bought it a few years ago for about a quid.

TBH, unless there was a problem with Printing on that perticular day, It would fetch between £2 and £5 from a dealer, Unless its unique for a spurs collector?

Re: Burnley Programme Collectors corner.

It is slighty unique.

Adam Blacklaw,John Angus, Alex Elder,Bian Miller, Sammy Todd, Gordon Harris, all dropped/rested.
Harry Thompson, Freddie Smith, Les Latcham, Colin Waldron, Dave Merrington, Franck Casper came in?

so this was Burnley doing what the did in 61 resting first teamers, before a Big game.

Blacklaws last season, sold to Blackburn
Elder last season sold to Stoke

This might be a reason why it might be worth more?

Also got numerous other ones from the early to mid 90s.

The signed one could be worth somthing, Ted McMinn against his old team.

And didnt derby have Shilton in goals?

BBC2 Waldron wasnt signed until October 1967 and according to Claret Chronicles the Burnley team against Spurs on the 17th September 1966 was as follows:
Blacklaw
Angus
Elder
O'Neil
Miller
Todd
Morgan
Lochhead
Irvine
Harris
Coates

The team that played Stuttgart on the 20th September 1966 was:
Blacklaw
Angus
Elder
O'Neil
Miller
Bellamy
Morgan
Lochhead
Irvine
Harris
Coates

I have been collecting Clarets programmes since 1965 and have every 1st game from 1946 to 1996 (51 seasons) except for 4. Stopped collecting 1st team progs in 96 because of the constraints of space so I now concentrate on Reserve & Youths.

kin hell, nice! what 4?

and the youth and reserve games, bet thats a pain, when the games on and no programme issued.

If you notice any gaps Becky, i would love to swap for some you need.

And would you like to help out on the ref site?

Re: Burnley Programme Collectors corner.

The 4 are 1946/47 homes v. West Ham & Sheff Wed away v. Chesterield and 1952/53 home v. Blackpool.

The reserves and youth are interesting to collect and surprisingly programmes are issued for 99.9% of games. One noticeable exception was in the youth team's cup winning run of 1967/68 when nothing was issued for the tie against Yorkshire Amateurs. I would be very pleased to help out with any queries etc.

Thanks but I know there was no prog issued for that game - I was on it. If anyone has any questions about the existence or rarity of Clarets progs between 1946 & 1996 I will be glad to try and answer them.

BBC2, my father has doubles into the hundreds including some rare doubles.

Think he needs about 250 to have every home and away programme since 1960.

Perhaps, with some effort, you two could do some serious exchanging?

Re: Burnley Programme Collectors corner.

BBC2, 400+ doubles.

Circa 250 needed to complete collection

What others do you need JimmyMac?

Have you tried standish street? He said he has boxes but hasn't sorted through them last time we spoke.

The only other place which may help is "Football Footie programme site"

Im also BBC2 on there, but they will list fairs and other enthusiasts, might be of some help to you.

But PM me the others you need first.

I have Swansea town away, pen marks on the front cover

Burnley home to Spurs(1st march) again pen marks on the cover and team changes in pen.
Blackpool v Burnley 23rd April small number neat on the back top corner
Blackburn v Burnley 17th Oct, small number neat on the back top corner
Manchester United v Burnley 26th Dec, Folded, with token in-tacked, small number neat on the back top corner.

Are these any good( The home game) looks like the person who went on the game rated the players himself and doodled on the cover, shame really

Not competition, im just surprised its taken so long for websites to jump on the band wagon.

Whats a shame is that claretsmad wont acknowledge the longside, something like this, both sites could work together.

Also i think they will find with the ticket section, they will start encountering problems, the 1990s Burnleys tickets are very badly printed, and when they get down to the 80s they are all paper editions.

I have thousands, but am NOT going to list them.

baby house?

im serious about the tickets, but i was always going to add watercolour to early programmes, like what i have done with isle of man tour single sheets, if any website does an article the longside is embossed across them.

the thing is, it was always going to happen, programme collecting is big business, the whole idea to start with was for the clarets trust to make money!

if clarets mad are going to use it to make money, that's cool, in fact that's good, all the money does make its way back to Burnley.
