Scudamore's £5million bonus

Obscene amount allegedly to be spread over three years. He has already had annual bonuses
And disgusted that BFC have supported this according to the terse statement issued.
There were initial reports that BFC were one of 5 clubs to oppose it. The statement clearly refutes this. What a totally unacceptable decision they have made.
£250,000 they will contribute, £250,000 utterly unbelievable.
These are normally sane directors that have made this decision. How out of touch can they be with rank and file supporters who are condemning this on every social media site.

We as a club have done some stupid things in our time but this takes the biscuit, absolutely disgusting decision to back this up, to put it mildly I am so so disappointed with the board, I thought much better of them than this. If they want to throw away £250K it would have served the community much better than giving it to some overpaid chap like this.

Hang your heads in shame Burnley board. If fans vote now with their feet it is nothing less than you deserve.

How soon we forget......clubbing together to pay an electric bill to turn the floodlights on and now we think 250g can be thrown away like waste paper.I thought we were much better than this.

They probably didn't have a choice, the PL can probably make them pay whether they wanted to or not.but to put out a statement that they supported it????

Ridiculous - made a bad situation worse.

Good to hear the supporters federation are against this obscene sum of money going to someone who ‘earned’ more than £26 million during his time in charge. How much money does one person need in life?

This payout was on the recommendation of the Premier Remuneration Committee of which Mike Garlick is a member. So no wonder Burnley issue a statement saying they understand and support it. Appalling with a club attitude that seems to be if you don't like it, lump it.

“Burnley Football Club supports the statement of the Premier League and the rationale behind such payments and the work carried out by the remuneration committee,”

The remuneration committee chaired by Chairman Bruce Buck (who incidentally is a golfing pal of Scudamore's)

To try to divert away from the notion that the clubs are paying the money themselves, they have stated that the money will come out of the "central fund", which just so happens is money that gets paid to the clubs direct.

Complete joke

Alfie it was the brainchild of the Remuneration Committee and Mike Garlick is on that committee.

Perhaps he was outvoted Dave.? Can't see Garlick wanting to waste a quarter of a million quid .. Can you ?
