Thats what I am and I am reminded of that when I look at the forecast for the next 2 weeks i Skipton. brrr.... something to look forward to...not - although maybe Swansea and later Arsenal will feel the same way.

"Reviewing the forecast for Skipton Over the next 14 days and the average daytime maximum temperature will be around 7°C, with a high for the two weeks of 12°C expected on the afternoon of Wednesday 15th. The mean minimum temperature will be 3°C, dipping to its lowest on the morning of Monday 13th at -1°C. The fortnight ahead will have some days seeing a little precipitation and some days with rain, sleet or snow. The current forecast indicates Saturday 18th will have the most precipitation with an accumulation of around 7.0mm. On the whole winds are likely to be moderate"

So you arrived in Australia by boat Soapy. It is a good job that Peter Dutton was not the Immigration minister in those days.

I went to see my uncle in Skipton a few years back.

He asked me if I would ever move back. I replied " Peter, look outside, It is 3.30PM, it is dark and that rain will never land it is so windy. Why would I want to move back?"

When I go back in the summer it is beautiful but you can keep the winters.

Shanghai, I wouldn't have got there if I had tried to get there in a boat with John Howard in charge ;-) that year (2002) only one arrived with one passenger and it wasnt me! I am not looking forward to it getting dark at 3.30 although it will be good to see the floodlights on at the turf.

Always loved the Turf with rain glistening in the floodlights. Great days to play those soft Southern teams

I read in the DT today about the coldest town on earth in Siberia, so no nose rubbing going on- here or there!
