Scotland game was rather entertaining (Sm152)
Plenty of chances for a bigger winning margin.
Scotland maybe don't have the players but I think Strachan is doing a good job.

Just seen Englands score, I remember it being 0-1 for a while, were you lads only Malta teasers for most of the match?

Scotland v Malta

It's gotta be two home wins, I'm going 4-0 x 2

If Rooney hadn't retired from international football he could have been in Malta and wouldn't have to visit sunny Stockport.

Hee hee, a Skrtel own goal in 88mins keeps Scotlands hopes alive. Really good game, especially the second half, Scotland smacked the woodwork twice, the Slovakian keeper had a number of good saves, credit to the away team for the way they fought with ten men for three quarters of the match. I enjoyed that.(Sm152)

Engerland win 1-0 due to a late goal after their keeper threw the ball to an England player.. Lol

By the way we are Schite and will not get past the group stages with Southgate in charge..

Scotland was the better game to watch especially in the 2nd half, much more passion on the field and from the crowd, England send me to sleep.

I understand that FIFA have pandered to the developing nations to the degree that Holland and Argentina may both fail to qualify. These two teams nearly caused me to resist at uni in 78. Serves them right

Not quite sure where you're coming from there Sc
It's hardly the fault of FIFA that the Dutch have failed to finish in the top 2 of their group.

As for Argentina, when they increased the finals from 24 teams to 32 they gave CONMEBOL an extra Qualifying spot thus giving more breathing space for the likes of Argentina and Brazil.
What's more th Asian and African teams have given the world cup some of its greatest matches.

Thanks to the sweaty socks Northern Ireland are now guaranteed a Play-Off spot.
If NI avoid defeat to Norway,Republic of Ireland beat Wales and Ukraine beat Croatia then they will very likely be in pot 1 for the play-off draw thus avoiding Italy and Portugal/Switzerland.

Shanghai,You might be confusing FIFA with UEFA who do appear to be pandering to the weaker nations.

They have set up this competition to allow one of the 16 weakest European football nations to automatically qualify for the Euro 2020 finals.

I was thinking of the qualification process in Asia and Oceania tbh Fully. I think that they are just outside of UEFA's reach.

I have just had an epiphany. I am a grumpy old man. I am bored with watching@#$%&on tv. I don't want to watch meaningless games of football, cricket, rugby or womens sport. I just want to watch the best giving it there all for something important. Bring on the RLWC.
