Another tŵo killed in terrorist attack .. Sad indeed, but it's becoming run of the mill news nowadays. It's Just accepted as a part of everyday life ,a bit like taking a dump or attending a football match. I don't watch the news anymore as its so depressing and predictive..

Terrible for the families concerned.

I think that growing up listening to the daily killing in ulster hardened me to the news. I also feel that I am far more aware of threats than most people that weren't of my generation in the U.K.

I am not sure the French are inured to this (yet) as a part of everyday life. It is 3 generations since the angst of Algeria's fight for independence and given the French attitude to Liberté, Egalité, Fraternité which boils down to a superior form of white French nimbyism I reckon Marine Le Pen is a shoe in after the events of yesterday and combined with Nice and Paris earlier. This is the country which by and large sold out to the @#$%& and would probably still be content to live under the German jackboot so long as it didn't really interfere with their everyday way of life and their ability to live it and love their way. Socialism has had its day in la belle France.

Socialism is being fought by capitalism, looks like the capitalists are masters at radicalising the weak minded.

As I said earlier, Holland and Finland are running trials where they give people free money whether they work or not as they see automation a great threat to jobs causing local economies to collapse creating more unemployment and all the problems that will create. All countries could be heading towards some form of civil war in the not too distant future as welfare and social services breakdown due to the lack of taxes being collected.
