It's all a storm in a tea-cup really, he's just a pi**ed-up football manager playing the bigtime Charlie and talking through his backside to some fans. In a sane and sensible world people would just laugh, take it for the alcohol-fuelled drivel it is and get on with their lives.
Sadly the lunatics are now running the asylum and they'll have him for this. In a way I feel sorry for him, the fans couldn't get rid, even after the horror show of this season, but he might fall on some trivial off the cuff remarks which no one should take seriously. Funny old world.

Off the cuff maybe - but from the point of view of the person on the receiving end (Sam) then this is both a slur on his character and possibly a chance for a small piece of revenge? In his shoes I know I'd have taken legal advice, if only out of some childish wish to get my own back.
"A truth’s initial commotion is directly proportional to how deeply the lie was believed. It wasn’t the world being round that agitated people, but that the world wasn’t flat. When a well-packaged web of lies has been sold gradually to the masses over generations, the truth will seem utterly preposterous and its speaker a raving lunatic."
"The ideal tyranny is that which is ignorantly self-administered by its victims. The most perfect slaves are, therefore, those which blissfully and unawaredly enslave themselves."
