Can anyone put into words the founding principles/ basic philosophy of our three main political parties, I will kick off with the Tories. Every person shall be rewarded fairly for his efforts & the rewards shall be more than the rewards of someone of equal who who makes no effort.

Not perfect but in as few words as poss.(Sm30)

One of labours main ones was clause 4:

Quote:
To secure for the workers by hand or by brain the full fruits of their industry and the most equitable distribution thereof that may be possible upon the basis of the common ownership of the means of production, distribution and exchange, and the best obtainable system of popular administration and control of each industry or service.

"A truth’s initial commotion is directly proportional to how deeply the lie was believed. It wasn’t the world being round that agitated people, but that the world wasn’t flat. When a well-packaged web of lies has been sold gradually to the masses over generations, the truth will seem utterly preposterous and its speaker a raving lunatic."

"The ideal tyranny is that which is ignorantly self-administered by its victims. The most perfect slaves are, therefore, those which blissfully and unawaredly enslave themselves."

Cause 4 the gateway to communism, It worked so well in Eastern Europe where people died in their millions since WW2. Seems to me a better way than capitalism. We were all born equal but we are not all the same, as there is a big difference twixt equal & the same.

The John Lewis/Waitrose group have made a success of principles which sound very close to clause 4.

John Lewis is a fine example of entrepreneurial capitalism, what makes it different from clause 4, or what makes it different in a real world sense, is that the fruits of their labors do not have a major portion taken away to subsidise the lazy @#$%& at non productive companies.
