Premier to pledge £100mill to the football league
Sounds great doesn't it?

However when you read the details it says that the parchute payments will be over 4 years instead of 2. There will be £16m in the first season and 3 further payments of £8m to follow. Is this more than normal and if it is,is this just a case of the Prem looking after their own? The other teams in the CCC will definitely be at a disadvantage.

it's a joke....if it were spread equally over the 72 clubs (which it wont) it would work out £222,222 with the first 16mil

hardly massive amounts of money eh?

but not all lower league clubs that need circa 200k will get that.

the most will go to the higher clubs and the rest will filter through in smaller and smaller sums
