who would put a team out without a striker ,aye Furtado was there but it is not his position.week in and a week out you see the same boys on the scoresheet the reason is simple they are strikers not players like we have there making up the eleven .

Yes Furtado worked so hard all game and got frustrated at his battles against two old time CBs and got booked, admittedly by a fussy Ref, but he is not a centre forward. he had a lovely piece of skill in the first half but it did not open up a scoring chance. The decision to play this nonsensical No 10 support can work if you have the players but we don't. Fry should have put us ahead and despite working hard he was ineffective for the most part. Hastie had a great start but rarely touched the ball in the second half while Scott Stewart was well marked on both wings and saw his one chance saved by Parry. At 0-1 we did try to get an equaliser but the decision to take off Furtado for Allan was wrong. He should have removed Hastie/moved Furtado to the wing so we could exploit some spaces-too often we inter pass but don't actually get into the box.The defending at corner was like last season and that finished the game. Taking off Watt and moving Fry back to a job which he could not do at the start of the game does seem bizzare as well as sticking Cammy Russell on wide right! For once I will not criticise Conroy. Given the Forfar result I fear next week but the Cove Rangers one scares me!

What about Cairns today was he carrying a knock that he was not playing ,good in tha air and good strong winner of the ball ,always a chance of a goal from set piece ,I just can't understand managers picking of team.

Certainly amongst the subs but no sign of any injury. Has to be better at CB than Brownlie or the loanee. I believe Brownlie is only signed till end of year so maybe he will go in there? Mcintosh is also not a RB but we have not solved that problem since the Bain/O Neil discussion. I don't think the manager picks the team-that is our radio Pundit/DOF. Heard a discussion on Off the ball on the way home which debated how stupid the idea of a Pundit becoming a manager has been.( McCann at Dundee?)

failing to replace ,Ryan @Russell shows the team for what it is ,we were bad at defending last season but with us scoring a few goals got away with it .we are a joke of a team the whole set up from players to backroom ,most of them aye maybe all are only here because they would not get a game anywhere else ,would be struggling in lower league.the way I feel having no team would be better than this week in week out.I know all the good work that the trust do and that is great but the main aim has got to be the product on the park on a Saturday ,rant over.

The manager was right it is fine lines but without a striker we know Furtado works hard but he couldn't hit a coo on the erse with a banjo when it comes to striking,we had chances for at least 3goals .

Yes captain Conroy you state the obvious, and if you could put yourself about a bit more that would help, play with a couple of strikers would also help.I would like to think we could win this one,so will go for 3-1 again.
