Today Carl has retired from football a great servant to our club I wish him well for his future, Would have liked to have seen him one more time between the sticks, But hope after the devastation he has suffered everything goes well for him, Thank you Carl a true wulf.

Well said BSM.

Perhaps the news is no surprise but still disappointing to see Carl's career end abruptly in these circumstances, but of course it could have been much worse.

The second sad loss of a good goalkeeper we have suffered this century.

Most importantly he is on the way to recovery.
Good luck Carl, good luck for the future, and thanks for your service.
Not to be forgotten.

Top rank goalkeeper. Sad news about his retirement but probably inevitable. The main thing is that he has won his biggest battle of all. Good luck to him.

Whilst I had really hoped to see Carl back on the pitch in a Wolves shirt, Sometimes going through these horrendous situations, when on the road to recovery, the best advice is to focus all your energy on just on keeping well.

Like all Wolves supporters I wish Carl all the very best for the future, that his remission continues for the long term and he enjoys a full and healthy life. As for his time at the club, he should be proud of his achievements and that he will be fondly remembered as a very highly rated goalkeeper. As BSM said, a true Wolf.

Perspectives is everything.
Carl seems to have won the biggest match of his life, and he has been rewarded in a way money can´t buy.

Cancer is @#$%&..both my parents have had it but battled through. It took my dad though,a real tough man..anyone would say really,to places were he was just a little child. The depressions that follows the diagnose isn´t easy to handle.

At the end of the day, both he and Carl is still alive.
I´m fifty now..time for my PSA test(prostate) I guess.
Not looking forward to it.
