Southbank expanding

Good to see the decision to go ahead with the Southbank expansion in 2019.

When they do the Steve Bull and join up the North Bank and single tier Southbank that should move the capacity well north of 45,000. Hard to see we would need more than that.

Re-developing the Billy Wright would be challenging anyway with the position backing onto the Waterloo road.

But that would still give us a capacity larger than the current Stamford Bridge. That would nearly double match day income.

I just hope we're big enough to match Fosun's ambition. Which is a potentially nice problem to have: owners who are perhaps more ambitious than the club and the area can support.

I think expanding Southbank will do the trick...unless of course we are heading for Champions League participation on a more or less permanent basis.
