O/T Leicester v Ath Madrid

Just an observation, but i was amazed that Leicester played a near full strength team V Palace on Sat, just 3 days before the return leg V Ath Madrid in a champions League Quarter final.
I know Leicester were on 36 points prior to the Palace game so were technically still not safe but it would take a near miracle for any of the teams in the drop zone to overtake them.

Only time will tell but could Leicester have not given more players a rest on Sat?

Atletico would have knocked them out anyway, great run by Leicester but Atletico are capable of winning the entire competition. It's refreshing not to see teams change all the time, as though a professional athlete can't kick a ball around for 90 minutes twice a week.. the most successful teams keep a consistent eleven which is why Shakespeare has won all but 2 of his games in charge before tonight.

Vardy missed a great chance at 1-1 the other night, if he had of scored then it would have been nail biting! i agree about not changing team selections all the time but on this occasion I just feel that Leicester could have rested players against Palace.
