Cheers. That's interesting. Surprised that Chelsea and Spurs are so far down.

Interesting, we've scored more goals at home than every other club bar Liverpool.

Also, no room for any debate about the biggest club in the Midlands any more!

Great stats.

What I May try and do soon is split it into three sections. Home, Away and total. Should be easier to view then.

Decided against doing this as it would take a long time to sort out and would be murder to keep up to date.

I have updated it but each time I try to clean it up a little to make it easier to read the page goes wrong and only half the info is there. Will keep working at it.

I have updated this this morning and have gone to the full table instead of home and away. Seems to be a little easier to read now.

Some Facts

1 - We have the fourth most wins behind Liverpool, Arsenal and Man U.

2 - We need 89 more wins to join the 2000 wins club.

3 - Only Man U (181) have scored more goals than us.

4 - Only Liverpool (11) have scored more goals at home than us.

5 - Only Man U (244) and Arsenal (3) have scored more away goals than us.

6 - Only Notts C, Burnley and Preston have played more league games than us.

Problem is the table doesn't legislate for what division the points have been acquired in so in 2009/10 we acquired less than half the points we did in the championship title winning season in the previous season which implies we were half the team. Interesting reading though for those who imply football only began in 1992

I will post all time top flight, prem and championship tables later if possible. However here are where we stand in the following tables.

Fourth Tier (Currently League 2)

80 Wolverhampton Wndrs 92 51 16 25 151 93 +58 169 .641

Using the percentage score we would sit in 4th spot behind Sheff United (1 season), MK Dons (2) and Coventry City (1).

Third Tier (Currently League 1)

73 Wolverhampton Wndrs 138 68 34 36 242 178 +64 238 .616

Using the percentage score we are 10th, however if you remove Burton who are in their first season in this tier and have played only 11 games then we are 9th.

I did notice the third tier record does not count Div 3 south.

Very interesting, and kind of sad. Perhaps we are about to enter a new age of success, driven by dynamism and a sense of purpose from a new owner. Or possibly, Like Sheffield U and Preston, slip into a state of perpetual mediocrity.

Oh well; we travel in hope.
