The Maierhofer interview is almost certainly a hoax started by the football website total football.

Whilst I accept anyones opinion on his footballing prowess, don't slag him off for comments he almost certainly never said.

It also seems like the whole Bristol City team played poorly last night, not just Stefan as Gary Johnson has left the club this morning.

Yeah, he's not happy, but the interview has been sexed up. He's not happy because he is not playing. He is not playing because he is not good enough. Why did we sign him? Because at the time we only had one fit striker and we were desperate. We also hoped he might step up. Seem to remember a lot of delay before we finally went for him. You can't always tell. If we had bought SEB this summer from someone else after 2 seasons with the golden boot in the championship, no doubt we'd all be saying what a terrible signing, but I don't think anyone on here expected him to be the flop he has been so far. You can't always tell.

.....some reports say that Johnson got into an altercation with the players after the Plymouth gamem, so more to it than just a poor run of results. Maierhofer will be back up the M5 pretty quick I would think.

Didnt a similar thing happen when Leon Clarke went to QPR on loan from us a few years ago. He played one game at Leeds, was utter rubbish and then the manager got sacked.

Stourport you made me laugh, whatever the reason though, you can't blame one player for getting a Manager sacked - UNLESS THAT PLAYER IS ALAN SHEARER!!

Anyway, we can all watch him play because their match at the weekend will be live on BBC1 against Newcastle.

A striker needs a run of games to find their form and Micks never gives them games in my opinion unless your name is Andy Keogh.
